Officers
Krysalea is a history education major from Lebanon,OH. She is the proud daughter of Joseph and Donna Burns. This is obviously Krysalea’s first year of Student Government at Marshall University and she hopes to continue being an active member of the Government throughout her years here at Marshall. Krysalea is currently involved in Campus Crusade, Marshall Maniacs, and becoming a Young life leader here in Huntington. Her activities in High School include Big Brothers and Sisters, Tutoring elementary children, Young life and Vice President of Techno Dance.

Laura is a biochemistry major from Charleston, WV. She graduated from George Washington High School and was active in Junior Civitans, Beta Club, Key Club, and the track and cross country teams. She was also a member of the West Virginia Kickers clogging team and was active in her church and youth group. In addition to Freshman Council, Laura is currently involved with Campus Crusade for Christ, JMELI, and Marshall Maniacs. She is also a John Marshall Scholar, an Erma Byrd Scholar, and a member of the Honors Program.

Nina is an Education major from Virginia Beach, Virginia and is the daughter of Sarah Keasey. She graduated, with honors, from the Health Science Academy at Bayside High School. In high school, she was a member of the varsity cross country, swimming, and soccer teams, and was captain of her cross country and soccer teams during her senior year. Nina was also very active in her schools SCA and class offices, holding offices such as, City Wide Representative, Class Representative, and Publicity Commissioner. She also enjoyed being a part of her Temple’s youth group, and was on board for three consecutive years, and was also the advisor for the junior youth group. At Marshall, Nina has become part of the Freshman Student Council and the Marshall Manias.

A.J. is a Political Science major from Ironton, Ohio and is the son of Tammi and Steve Dickess of Ironton, Ohio and Sam and Juanita Webb of Milton, West Virginia. He graduated from Dawson-Bryant High School in Coal Grove, Ohio with high honors as a member of the National Honor Society and Mu Alpha Theta, the national math honorary. He is the recipient of the Board of Governors Scholarship. While at Marshall, he has been involved in several campus organizations, including John Marshall Emerging Leaders Institute and Pi Sigma Alpha. As a member of the Freshmen Council, he hopes to mobilize the freshmen and provide activities that will allow the student body to connect to each other. While an officer of the council, he plans to specifically focus on the relationship between commuter students and Marshall University.
