ABBREVIATED DIAL LIST   Permits shorter dialing of stored numbers and access codes.
     
To program abbreviated dial buttons:   Lift receiver, listen for dial tone

Press *O for system access

Press AD button to be programmed

Listen for dial tone

Dial desired extension or outside number (remember to use 9+number for off campus and 9+1+area code+number for long distance numbers)

Press AD again

Listen for confirmations tone.

Hang up.

     
To program “gray” area abbreviated dial buttons on 7406 model sets: (This type set allows two numbers to be programmed per button)   Lift receiver, listen for dial tone

Press *O for system access

Press “select” or “shift” appearance

Press AD button to be programmed

Dial desired extension or outside number

Press “select” or “shift” appearance again

Press AD button again

Listen for confirmation tone. Hang up.

     
To call programmed number:   Lift receiver, listen for dial tone

Press AD button
    OR
Press "select" or "shift" appearance then AD button for gray area.

 

 

   
CALL APPEARANCES     Two line appearances of a set’s primary extension.
     
    The third line is reserved for outgoing calls only
 

 

   
CALL FORWARDING   Temporarily sends your calls to another number.
     
To activate--lift handset and:   Press Call Forward button or dial Call Forward access code *2

Dial the telephone number to which your calls are to be forwarded

Listen for confirmation tone - hang up

     
To cancel -- lift handset and:   Press Call Forward button or dial Call Forward Cancel code #2
 

 

   
CALL PICKUP   Permits answering a call to someone in your pickup group from your own telephone.
     
To answer a call placed to a member of your pickup group:   Press Call Pickup button or dial Call Pickup code #4
 

 

   
CONFERENCE   Extends 2-party call to 3-party conference.
     
To initiate a Conference Call:   Call 1st party - announce that you are placing a Conference Call

Press Conference button

Dial next party - announce that you are adding them to a conference call.

Press Conference button

Dial next party, continue process until all desired parties have been added (remember that the total of six includes the on campus-person placing the calls)

 

 

   
INTERCOM    
     
To place an intercom call:   Press the button marked Intercom

Dial the one or two digit intercom code (If you are not certain of code, contact the telecommunications office)

 

 

   
LAST NUMBER DIALED   Allows user to recall the last number dialed by using a code instead of redialing the number.
     
To use Last Number Dialed:   Lift receiver

Press Last Number Dialed button or dial code #9

 

 

   
SEND ALL CALLS   Redirects all calls to the coverage path previously set on the system. Must be done by system administrator.
     
To activate:   Press Send All Calls button (light comes on) or dial code *3
     
To cancel:   Press Send All Calls button (light goes off) or dial code #3
 

 

   
TRANSFER TO AUDIX   Allows you to transfer a call that has covered to you or a call on which you have performed a call pickup directly to the AUDIX mailbox of the person to whom the call was placed originally.
     
To transfer to AUDIX:   Press Transfer button

Dial code 165

Press Transfer button again

Hang up
